Looking for a 60s split window "hippie bus" as my son calls it. First project vehicle and he picked it. Tried to talk him into the Karmann Ghia but no luck. Runner would be best, rebuildable certainly. Had a bug years ago and just need to resupply with metric wrenches and we should be good. Any help locating one would be greatly appreciated.

Turns out I found 5 of them 15 miles from home. Who'd a thunk it!! Also has 3 Karmann Ghias, one of them a convertible and everything for sale. Too cool.

I have always thought one of the VW "Safari" buses with the flipout windows would make a cool build.
Center mounted big block, steerable rocks, full exo.
Would really piss the hippy-sierra club types off!
