If dot3 boils in the lines it can cause the wheels to lock up, and only be warm to the touch in the master. Try to rerought the lines or wrap them. Dot 5 may not help with that, and may not react well with the master if its ment for dot 3.
I kind of sounds like the pedal rod is adjusted out too much?
Sounds like it was still a good trip, wish I could have gone.:banghead::crying:

Aaron - he's got the stock vacuum booster.
It's the stock pedal rod and has worked in the past until this heat issue came up. I think it's just time for a flushing, new fluid, and some heat wrap.

They are power Disc brakes using a 77 EB MC and the typical Chevy swap calipers ( 84 Blazer). The Booster is a late 80's Ford LTD booster on a custom Al Bracket that is a exact copy of the EB bracket that worked fine when it was power drum Brakes even with the 77 eb MC. They were touchy when it was 4 wheel drum due to the extra fluid going to them Vs the stock setup.
