67" wms to wms thick axle tube.

note: the only reason for the thicker axle tube was because the c wedges were being welded on. the heat from being welded required thicker steel tube.

thanks..good to know:xyxthumbs:

Did I ask this already, How hard is it to 4 link an axle with Cast wedges?
Would the wedges really be in the way?
Or is there a fear a weakening it with the welding done to the tube?

4 linking with cast wedges should not be an issue. welding to the axle will be fine.

How would this work for a donor?
I know it will have drum brakes, but if it really has lockers that could be a steal. He is already down from $1,200.
I would assume it has power steering, is it the same box as the later trucks, so I can use it on my EB with the 2wd, worm gear change?
A bargin?

Thanks

What are lockers worth? Maybe I should look. He said it has 4.10 ratios and detroit lockers in the front and read. That is what really caught my attention.

Sell the snow plow off of it for $500 and it could be a pretty cheap conversion.
That is a good price, but I am not sure when I would get a chance to get those parts from NC to Iowa.
