Credit card needed some exercise. They (whoever "they" are) said its not good to have a paid off credit card. So I decided to stimulate the economy on my own, no taxpayer dollars involved, and ordered a cold air intake, 4" turbo back exhaust, and a TSPerformance 6 way chip. Now for the time to install everything.

I got one for a late 99. Always my luck, nothing easy. Look up TS Performance on ebay. They are getting cheaper. Mine was $249, knocked money off the exhaust, and got the cold air intake on sale. Stimulating the economy all by myself.

Got the 6 position chip from TS Performance. Got a day to put it in. Got the computer out and the first thing I see is electrical tape over the port on the computer. Someone had already been there. Pulled the tape off and inside was a single position Bullydog chip. PO didn't know it was there, he claims. Ran a scanner on the truck and nothing showed up. Took that out and replaced it with the new one. Set it on 75 and tucked the wires away. I now have an unknown Bullydog chip. Worked just fine in the truck but don't know what level of performance increase it is supposed to be. Called Bullydog tech and for $50 they could tell me. Not that interested.
