chuzie Wrote:VSS fix- Dill ouy VSS w/ 7/16 bit. Piggy back stock cable (gear removed) onto VSS. Use 1/4x 3-1/5" bolt + some type of spacer to support the two mounts. Will mount directly into XFER case. Works like a dream. Good idea Chuck.
BTW- Via Ryan Mccormick, you are a no-go for using the newer MAF sensor with the old computer. The sensor has to match the computer. Time to dish out some more $$$
thats awesome! thanks for checkin on that MAF..ill get the right one.

That's where I thought mine would go too, but we didn't have enough room to fit a headlight, battery, and stuff a tire. We narrowed our grills basically the same, but you stretched your fenders and I shortened my hood - that couple inches must make the difference.
I really like your air box setup too - ya'll keep up the good work :xyxthumbs:

well, just the keep the thread current...started running the fuel lines and wiring Fri night. Chuzie came by and we were at the point to fire the motor up, but the motor wouldnt turn. it was bound up! so this morning i began removing the trans...still the motor wouldnt turn. so i took the bell housing off and BINGO! the motor turns, so i found the pressure plate scrapping the bell housing. i ground the housing and some off the bolt areas on the pressure plate...everything turns good now. a buddy came by to help install the tranny. Sunday comes...she will run! ill keep yall posted

EXCELLENT! You better not fire that damn thing up until I get there!!! We are going to wake the neighbors up tomorrow!!!
I think, after tomorrow, your rig will be on the down hill slope (no pun intended) of this battle to make URE.
Way to stay focused and keep on the engine/tranny issue today. I would have had to walk away for a day or two over that one.

Sounds great Chuck - glad you got the motor issue figured out, but it sounds like it was a PITA getting to it.
Do you have the driveshafts made? What else do you lack besides tube work? Keep up the hard work and we all expect some youtube footage of the motor running :popc1:
