Hello. Do you need the kick down cable installed when starting? I thought it was used to regulate the trans. I have a 302 v8 and c4 auto. Thanks again for all the help.

You are correct in that it is only needed to tell the transmission to downshift (or not upshift when ya keep it to the metal) Not needed for starting. :xyxthumbs:

And on a c-4 it should be a hollow tube bent to resemble a rod unless you are running EFI then it is a cable.
