Kick Down Tube C4
#1
Hello. I have a 74 EB with a c4. I found a kick down tube in a box full of parts and tried to install. It seems like it's a little short. The lever looks to be pulled back to far and would only engaged if the truck was near full throttle. The bronco has a 2-3" body lift. Would that make a difference? Any suggestions. Thanks again for all of your help. Confusedcratchhe:

Do you have a 4V carb?

I'm not sure what you are describing but the kick down is only supposed to engage, push back, at near or full throttle. If is engages at less than that the tranny will downshift before it needs to, and just make the engine rev higher.

Good, a 4V moves the linkage forward and the factory rod will need to be lengthened.
