Wow. You would have to be turning nearly 10,000 RPM to suck 800 CFM through a 351.
I'm certainly not getting into your buisness but you may want to call JEGS to double check. 800 CFM just sounds like trouble to me. Check this out. These guys know Fords and carburation http://ponycarburetors.com/default.asp?p...ulatingcfm

Being vacuum secondary, it will only pull what it needs. Besides factory carbs rarely flow the advertised cfm on a flow bench.

I called Jegs and changed my order to swap the 800 CFM carb for a 650 CFM carb.

Well, even as the Spring temps begin to roll in, the snow ball continues to move forward. Here's the progress report:
I could use some help with my alternator install. I'm having some trouble remembering how the alternator brackets were positioned. Can someone post up a pic of how the three brackets are positioned? I know the adjusting bracket runs along the bottom and the small triangular bracket bolts onto the block at the top. I'm struggling with how the larger triangular bracket should be positioned. I think it connects into the water pump somewhere right cratchhe:.

Sweet!!!
The triangle bracket with the 3 holes mounts to the water pump. The one with 4 holes mounts to the head. The pivot arm should bolt to the bottom hole at the water pump inlet...if I remember correctlycratchhe:
