Keith and I got to work on the orange beast some yesterday and today. Pics can't really show what has been done since the last pics posted, but here are a few I took today. The wiring is 98% complete and the dash is bolted in, we had to fab a mount for the coil since there are no inner fenders, the heater hoses/water pump hoses, by pass hoses, are all connected, vacuum lines are done/plugged, and the longer art carr shifter cable is installed.

Still need to button up some loose ends on the fuel lines, install radiator and trans cooler, distributor, and oil and it's time to crank!

Looking great!!! Do you have onboard air? Have you considered the amount of heat you will be pulling into the intake with the air filter in its current location? We have a few EFI junkies on the site, including myself, if you need any help with issues getting her going.

Thanks Chuzie! No onboard air for now - but definitley a future upgrade. My original plans were to keep the explorer AC comp and use it, but it interfered with having to lower my PS pump reservoir for hood clearance.

I used the stock mustang set-up on the air filter as far as the hose and MAF so haven't really thought about the heat issue, but see what you are saying. On a good note, there are no inner fenders and the underside is open (could be bad though when the tire throws debris up). I'm sure there will be some shielding done in the future.

The wiring has gone together very nicely so far. We used Ryan's harness and everything has fallen into place nicely, but I may be jinxing myself for when we turn the key for the first time. I have heard people say that some of his harnesses have random defects that can be a PITA to trouble shoot. Hopefully I'm not one of those!

Got a few odds and ends done today... too cold to get to work on it early and once the sun started going down the temp dropped quick. We did get the trans cooler mounter, PS cooler mounted, return lines plumbed, and a little work on the fuel lines.

Fuel cell is mounted, fuel lines are complete and buttoned up, trans cooler lines are in, new spark plugs/wires in, ready for oil and try turning it over! Hopefully more good news tomorrow!!!
