Modifying Four Core Radiator Mounts
#1
This will be short and quick. I purchased some SS 4 core radiator mounts from a well known vendor. When installed, it left the 3 core aluminum radiator at an angle (the top leaned about an inch towards the motor). I left it alone for several months till I decided to make a fan shroud. Well in order to do that I needed to "square" up the radiator by modifying the mounts. I took out the mounts and marked the small notch I wanted to remove. With a cut-off wheel the notch was removed. I squeezed the mount in until the gap was less. Put back in bronco for final fit. Once final fit worked for both mounts it was on to the TIG. One stick of SS did the trick. Next I grounded down the welds. Last I polished the finished area. Came out perfect, as if I never touched it and the final fit is perfect!

BC 4-Core mounts. I've heard TBPs were the same mfg. Only ones that seem to work are just the regular steel ones.
