the 77's upgrades
well after 3 hrs of fighting, i got the sticks in. i was really disappointed in these sticks from JBFab. i just installed a set on the 77 before the 5sp swap. those were perfect! i couldnt even bolt these in due to the angle of the rear stick at the pivot where it was welded. after trial and error, i got that on to clear(was hitting the tcase shifter mount) provided by AA. then had to bend the front stick to clear the rear stick. once all that was done, both sticks were in my KNEE! so i had to bend mutiple times to get these to work. the AA tcase mount is junk and i will have to beef it up...needs a brace that goes over to the pass side of the tcase adapter and maybe another forward on the tranny. when you grad the sticks hard, it flexes too much. once they were in , i made some small modifications to the new cover plate. dont really like how both set of shifter boots overlap...but it will have to do. dont think i got a pic of the finished product, but heres what i have

If you can't fix it with a hammer and a welder then your gonna need a new one!

went to LKQ sat and pulled a 3G alternator. installed it yesterday. some minor trimming to the factory bracket, simple wiring..and now i have a 130A 3G alt! and no more pulsing lights. steady 14.4-14.5v output.

after seeing a bunch of pics of bronco that caught fire due to the 2G alt/wiring...i decided to upgrade.

fyi, the alt was $30 + $10 core...which i didnt trade my 2g yetAlternator<<<this is what it could have cost

Our apologies for the installation issues, the pictures were very helpful to us.
The shifter mount that you are using looks nothing like the one AA has provided us for prototyping.
I wonder if there has been a design change, the one we have is WAY beefier, and does not seem to have the clearance issues that yours does.
Since this did not come up during our testing, I hope that this will a limited issue, meanwhile we will try to source one of the mounts like yours, and incorporate the clearance issues into our designs.

anytime Jon, I wondered bout that myself(the bracket) i really have no idea how old or who's design this belonged to...i just assumed it was AA. the sticks work great now, but i will have to beef up that bracket

Here is what we have, it is shown on a ZF (according to AA it is the same part number).
I have since found a picture of a slightly different one too. great! three types....
