i dont think i would mount the speakers in the inserts...dont think it would sound too good.
i still have some all in one rectangle speakers, and chuzie just got some too...these are easy to mount anywhere and work pretty good. they come with mounting bracket. like this http://www.amazon.com/Pyramid-2022SX-Wat...959&sr=8-2 or these http://www.amazon.com/PLMR24-3-5-Inch-We...=pd_cp_e_1

I couldent look at the forum pics, but thanks anyways. I have some small speakers (old nos nissan stuff) that I thougth might fit in there. jut not worth cutting it to only find out it wont work. Thanks for the links chuck, I like those (especialy the price). I had some old ones like that but turns out there junk. First I need to dig up a radio that works, I have a great one but need to get the volume knob fixed (again!).
Pulled the radiator out and tried to solder the hole, didnt work so I may have to send it out to be overhauled or possibly a new one (sucks being broke). I did decide to change the main fan out for a better one. I had a nice electric fan from liz's stealth. I wired it up on high speed and it fits perfect. Should move much more air than the smaller one that was there. I would post pics but the camra is not here. I swapped out the rear gear for the 350, once the cooling system was topped off I took it out for a rip. Love the way it drives, dont think I will be doing a bunch of high speed manuvers so the lack of hp is ok. Cruises great and made all the gears usable. Now I need to get the front diff seals so when the gears show up I can overhaul it. Thanks to Asiel for getting me those gears, this realy makes this drivable now. Pics will be posted, eventuly.

yeah, the ones chuzie got work ok...but your not gonna win a stereo competition lol
beside, you can alway just "stick the speaker to metal " with the magnets til you really find something that works for ya...believe me-ive dont that before:bdent: glad the 3.50's are working better, hope it yields some better mpg's too.

So we started the year out right, yanked the top off and went for a cruise into the ocala national forest. Other than the rattle of the spare tire mount it went great (realy need to buy the bushings for that).
I also snapped a few pics of the fan install, I did finally get the temp sensor mounted. I found the tstat housing on the 200 6cyl had a plug to fit the sensor. Cleaned it up and swapped it out.

Great pictures! That truck sure has come a long way in a short time.
What color do you plan on painting it?

I'm still undecided, its a toss up between red or yellow. Liz wants red so thats probably what will happen.
I have a front aux tank heading my way and the front gears. Hoping to score a new rad but still waiting. I'm going to pull the radio thats in there out and put the one out of pe'pe. Its parked for now so I need some tunes. Now I just need to order some speakers. I will say that I dislike the stc top very much. Not easy to put up or take down in comparison to my older kayline top. Wish I could get another kayline, but I guess I will try and save up for a roll bar so I can put a bikini top on insted. Which reminds me, I did get some time to weld up a brace on the windshield frame. Since we went out on new years the frame had been flexing some, some corner braces welded in and now its firm. Still have lots of body work to do. More progress to come!
