2013 events??
#31
4 wheel parts is pretty close to downtown Charlotte and on a small triangle shaped lot. They have next to no parking. Tarheel 4wd (that supplies the RTI ramp) might be a bit better. If you get bored, you can play your luck with the riff-raff down at the Pull-A-Part. There is a rock pile at Mars Fab offroad, up here in Harrisburg. I could talk to Chris to see if he'd let us meet there. The rocks are pretty big. 33's aren't really gonna cut it, unless you want to tear something up.

All that said, I think Carpenters or the Uwharrie spring meet thing would be the best of all my suggestions though.

I thought we might be talking about events in general for 2013. Are we just discussing the spring Meet and Greet here? (Sorry, lost my bearings on the subject a while back).

The meetngreet has always been done at DC so that anybody with a bronco (stock or not) would find it interesting. Tarheel has offered in the past to host the event and would be a good alternative. Another choice would be National Parts Depo. They also have a store in that area.
Where ever the event is held at, should still strive to be a famley event for all to attend.
As for other events in the NC area a summer get together in the Raleigh area down to the beach was done in the past with the help of the people in that area. A beach meet would probably be a big hit. Possibly centering on wilmington?
When I was in the NC area I tried several times to hold day runs up in the blue ridge mountens but found little intrest. There are also other off road parks in Tenn., Va. and Ky.

I think meeting up in Lake Lure and driving the Blue Ridge parkway would be cool.

Lake Lure does sound like an idea. But, the beach idea sounds good too. I might have skipped over some threads.....but is there a fee to camp on the beach's of NC?

Screw OBX... I vote for Carolina Beach!

DC's in April (and URE), a Workday in July (once Forestry posts dates), then NovRun...

Fawk, I hope to make one of these again...

Btt...no matter what, I think DC caters to all. Even if we go to another shop...there won't be anything but a parts counter. They still provide a tour through facility and museum. Which every yr I hear " wow 1st time here awesome museum " . If I make it further south or east coast...participation will drop off. Not to mention I have to drive it, set up, break it down and carry it all. This has been up a while and I was hoping for more input.
