Those who know me well, know that I'm a geek. My latest hobby is geocaching. In short, it's geeks like myself that hide a small weatherproof box (ammo box size) with a log book and maybe more (called a cache - pronounced "cash"). Then they post it's coordinates online (geocaching.com) for others to find using their GPS units. It can get way more complex than this, but that's the idea in its simplest form.
The reason I'm posting about this in this thread is that I planned on hiding my own cache at this Nov Run in Uwharrie. Researching places to hide one, I see that there are several already hidden in the area. Technically (legally), they cannot be hidden in a National Forest, so I was surprised to see some on the trails...
Anyone interested in going on a geocache run? I'll make a list and we can all hunt for the same list, or split it up depending on interest levels...
