Cutting the glass hood will be easier than the steel mod but if you can weld it aint rocket science. The problem with fiberglass is once you cut off the sides the whole hood sags and makes it look like wavy crap.The easy way to do the glass hood is to put your "New" sides in before you cut it ( Glassing in wood or more glass) and trimming along the lines.
That being said I just had my fiberglass hood repaired from the PO damage ( leaving out the hood pins) by a friend of mine and Roberts that works for Augusta Fiberglass as that is what they do for a living and I dont.He He. I hate fiberglass and you will also once you cut it.I did AC work for 6 yrs and had to quit due to my daughter being highly allergic to the Duct Board I used everyday.
It is good to know people everywhere.
