Type F vs. Dextron PS fluid
#6
chuzie Wrote:That is what I was looking for, someone who has had positive results. I know the Pump can handle the fluid but was just worried about the box getting pissed off.

Now I have to figure out how to effectively flush out all the old type F from my system so I can introduce the PS fluid. I think this will cost some $$$ in PS fluid since that box holds so much of it.

Pull the return off of the pump and run it to a bucket and cap the fitting on the pump. Fill the res and start the motor. Keep adding fluid till it runs clean out the return. You will need an assistant and the fluid will drain pretty fast.
