Did you plug the vacuum lines? You should. If they need to be hooked up to something it will show itself.

what I really need to do is look are the engine of a 90's bronco and look to see where all the crap goes. I am missing all the smog related items - and being I don't have inspections it does not matter other than I am not sure what is smog related and what is not. I am going to get a cap for the last Vacuum line a found to be broken today. I still seem to have other problems but at least it runs. That is a big improvment. Now I just need to take it out to the field and see if it will run in 4x4 mode, with out dieing constantly. And thanks for any pics you come up with.

Without emissions I think all you need vacuum lines for are
power brakes PCV Climate controls. Fuel pressure regulator Anything else? Tranny should be all electronic, Distributor should be all electronic. I think that is it, maybe someone else can chime in and let me know what I missed.

OK, so I finally figured out what was wrong with the Bronco. I figured out the fuel problems. I finally found that I had an air leak btwn the fuel cell and the pump, but I did not have any leaks. Strange, so I decided to take out the cell and check the inside lines. As it turns out there is a brass line that goes to the bottom of the cell and the nut the holds that to the top connector was cracked. So I think once the pump primed for the first time, it would run fine for 5 mins but then would start to suck air from in side the fuel cell. That is why I could not find any leaks air or other wise in the lines. Once I fixed the nut and retaped all the connections and the put new rubber gaskets on the top of the cell - it purrs like a kitten again. I also put RTV all around the connection on the outside.
I also changed out the Throttle Control Sensor, the Idle Air Control Valve, and the spark plugs. Those also seemed to have helped. I also had 2 dead yellow top batts, I will not buy them again. I only got 2 yrs out of them, way to much money for them to only last 2 yrs. I got a Battery from Tire Kingdom now that has a 3 yrs free replacement on it that is also a spirrel cell. I also got a Compression Test done on the engine and that came back strong, so I don't have to worry about the engine for a while at least. So I am going to Uharrie on the night of the 12th for the weekend, if anyone wants to join me. It is the last weekend before they close. Now that I have the Bronco fixed I need to wheel at least one time before the end of the year. I am going with a couple of friends but more the marrier. Later, Yvon
