Haha that, and "see around here its real hilly, and you need the extra power to push you up those hills." :hysterical:

Dad and I would love to build a Factory Five, thats what we've got our 5.0 and all for. He's good friends with a local guy who builds them for Factory Five; he's one of their top recommended assemblers if you don't want to build the car yourself (why wouldn't you?:bangheadSmile lol. They have regular car meets at his shop, and its always neat to go and meet everyone. (and usually catch a ride in one too :xyxthumbsSmile

I've been in a few of the cars he's built and MANN are they quick! And most of em would make Jay Leno's look like it was standing still. One of his staff built a Factory Five MKII roadster with a bored and stroked 302 pushing 550hp. I rode in it a couple times and the acceleration is just unreal! One of the times my dad was out with him, he was riding to a car show. They were going down the interstate at 65-70mph, and the guy dropped it down a gear and punched it, and it just spun the tires up at speed!

When we were living in mass liz and I went to the factory 5 open house. Great bunch of guys. Got to work one fellas green replica. He had wired the 3g wrong and drove all the way down from NH changing batterys with other guys. I helped him from time to time after that. I have looked at a few other companys that make those kits, factory 5 has the best kit out there. That would be the ideal motor to drop in one Carl, and an eb axle fits under them too...

Hehe, sounds sweet, yea there's nothing like a good running Cobra! The sound, the smell, the vibrations...its crazy cool! :xyxthumbs:

Yea couldnt agree more, none of the other kits I've seen can match the fit and finish, as well as just overall quality of the Factory Fives. They are 10x better engineered than the originals lol. A Factory Five with a reasonably healthy 302 would eat an origional Cobra off the track all day long!

Oh, and I had the pleasure of seeing 2 of the origionals at one of the Factory Five open houses. They're cool, its neat seeing the origionals in action, but I'd be afraid to drive one. The guy I know who builds them for a living has driven a couple of em, and he says they handle terrible!
