I would highly recommend you not use Herculiner. It is very coarse like sand paper and adheres poorly. I much prefer Raptor. That said, none compare to a professional liner.

Whatever you decide, be sure to use a high quality primer first. I'm sold on the 2 part epoxy primers. It all gets expensive quickly.

Bart, in terms of cost effectiveness, is it worth doing the prep yourself and then taking it to a professional for the final spray?

Yes and no. Usually they will charge less if everything is gutted from the interior (seats, belts, etc). They do all the liner prep themselves.

I can only say this for line-x. No idea on any of the others. I'm sure they use a lot of product, as the finish is 1/8"-1/4" thick. As was stated earlier, buy 5+ gals of anything and you've already lost money.

Most people only put down 2 gals of DIY stuff.

Well finally feel like progress was made. Got the interior primed and seam sealed. Well minus two seams under the driverside floor, so back to the parts tomorrow for more. As for the bed liner still undecided, I'm leaning towards painting it right now and when I get back from telico bed line the whole interior and bed.
