NORA - NOW ACCEPTING MEMBERSHIPS!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The National Off-Road Association (NORA) has officially launched its drive to strengthen the nationwide community of OHV devotees.
In a time when thousands of miles of trails have been closed and thousands more are slated for closure, off-roaders of all types have a unique opportunity to work together to preserve access to the places they love. NORA will provide the tools and means to do so.
NORA and Tread Lightly! will work together to strategically integrate Tread Lightly!ââ¬â¢s outdoor ethics and its stewardship principles into NORAââ¬â¢s programs and services.
A key element of addressing trail closures will be the economic and environmental impact reports that NORA will initiate through third-party organizations to ascertain, in a meaningful way, the role of the off-road industry within townships & communities nationwide. These reports will be made available to all OHV organizations as well as all NORA members.
NORA will unify off-road enthusiasts by keeping them informed and creating a platform where they can effectively Take Action on issues that are important to them. Members and other enthusiasts will receive free Action Alerts every month that will include Land Imminently At Risk (LIAR) Reports, which will provide information about pending trail closures and land access issues.
Also, in order to effect change on a larger scale, NORA will establish the ability to lobby both in Washington and in state capitols across the United States.
While non-members will receive information regarding the industry and land access issues, only members will reap the full package of benefits that NORA has to offer. For an annual membership fee of $29.95, NORA members will receive discounts from a number of companies such as Goodyear, Rubicon Express, Superwinch, 4WD Hardware, ARB, Hi-Lift, Teraflex, Black Diamond (by Superlift), Superior Axle & Gear, Jeep Jamboree USA, PakkRatt, Ready Welder, Runck Manufacturing, All Things Jeep, with more on the way. Most importantly, members can be sure that they are part of a larger effort to unite off-roaders and address their concerns.
