If working on the house, yard, liz's car, my crew cab, rv or trailer dont keep me from it. I like to go hiking, kayaking, camping, motorcycle riding with liz. I also am rebuilding my 75 honda cb750four's. When the weather is bad I also enjoy my model railroad, building model cars and I have an AFX racetrack set up to display all my builds on.

bucketobolts Wrote:Clint, I'd like to a couple of your knives if you have pictures. I have attempted to make one or too. It is a lot harder than it sounds.

I have a friend that bought a gas forge and anvil to make his knives. I've seen him take a piece of round tool steel, heat it up, and start pounding away. The next thing you know he's made a fillet knife. His inlaws run a timber co. so he has a nice supply of beautiful wood for handles. He wants to start making leather sheaths soon.

I will try to upload some pics but I'm not good at this. :xyxthumbs:

Yes, in most cases. It is a little harder to work with the metal after heat-treating but I can do some light mods and rework handles and tips. :xyxthumbs:
