Going tommorrow to get my Concealed weapon permit. I have to be a the police station at 1:30 Pm. It cost $90.00. (There goes some of my bronco Money) Then I will have to wait 90 days to get my permit. How many of yall have your Permits?

I've never gotten my legal permit, but it has never stopped me from carrying a gun when I feel the need. It is something that I should do and maybe now that I have more time will do. Good Luck!

I have mine in FL and SC which covers most of the states. I used to carry more often than I do now but seems my fuse has become much shorter as of late and I stopped carrying to prevent me from doing something stupid.

I have a permit from Utah which works for NC but it's ready to expire.
I've been thinking of getting an NC permit.
George, where did you do the classes?

I don't know of anyone in WNC that gives the classes. But I'm sure your local Sheriff's office would have a list. I would contact them anyway to see if you could apply without retaking the classes since you're already a permit bearer.

The trick is to find reciprocal states so you can carry in more than one and be legal.A FFL (Federal Firearms License ) used to be 500 bucks years ago but it is allot more now as you are listed as a dealer and can buy and sell as well as carry everywhere.The Utah route doesnt even require you to fire a weapon to get the permit but it covers more states than most.I personally used to carry when traveling and during late nite work for the Security company I work for but they have put the end to that.Hell they used to provide the gun and ammo for you but dont now and will fire you if you have one in your company vehicle.I have never pulled out my gun once but thought about it when in the Bronx NY getting gas @ 3 am once.
