It is hard to hear what is going on and what is happening and what will happen, but remember these doctors don't have clue and there is a far better place waiting for us ahead than this shit hole we are living in now.
My mom was mis diagnosed for years by small town doctors. When they finally figured out she had cancer and saw a specialist they told her she had 1-2 years left.
My mom lived 8 and they were all good right up until the last 2 months. Even then she slept though most of that.

With advances today your father will probably come through just fine and in a year or two be given a clean bill of health. On the other hand you are lucky that you have some time instead of getting a phone call in the middle of the night with no chance at making peace.
I really don't miss my mom and that may sound cold hearted, but it would be even worse to deny my faith and not believe I will see her again, or that she is not joyful to levels beyond human comprehension.
This life is miserable compared to what is waiting for us at the finish line.
I really hope you get many more years with your father, and it will be saddening when he is gone no matter when that is, but no matter how this turns out, it is not the end.

I got to meet your dad, he is very cool and you are both lucky. We will keep praying for him and hope he gets to enjoy his retirement.

Sorry to hear this Mike. I've only meet your dad a couple times but he seems like a really nice guy. I don't what I can do from here, other then send a prayer his way, which will be done. But if there's anything let me know buddy.

Mike, it seems that everyone has expressed it a lot better than I can but the bottom line is, if you need me-call. I'm retired and can come to your aid any time, day or night. We have a prayer chain at our church and your dad will be added as soon as I get off of this thing. Now that makes about 600 people from Crouse praying for him. Keep your chin up, stay positive and call me when you can't. There will be times going through this that you'll need to "vent", I'm here! My prayers are with you, your dad and the rest of your family! May God bless you all beyond your wildest dreams!! :xyxthumbs:
