Hey I do wear a yellow hat allot, LOL. The spares I carry are from years of breaking things and learning the hard way. Some things I carry now I havent used but the last time that part broke I needed one.
I will admit after working on my rig to get it ready that mechanics cars are always in the worst shape. While checking my fluids I realized I need to do a rear diff and t-case fluid service on top of the oil change that was way overdue. So far behind on maintece for that truck I had to remove the rear shaft and free up the slip yoke. The splines had dried and took a while to lube and free up (took longer after hitting my finger with the hammer). :crying:
Got all my spares, fluids, tools loaded. Sorry only one spare tire this trip :hysterical:
Since chuck went to tons I dont have much too help him, except maybe a fire extinguisher.:hysterical:
Bring what you need to work on your truck, how ever much that may be.

Finally got our "orders" from the FS today... Normally, they're sent a week or so ago...
Dutch John - CORE & Carolina Broncos - If you're coming up you'll be working with Pete Powell. There are some sections of guardrail to put up. We need to get 2 pieces put up near the last corduroy crossing you guys worked on with us this past winter/spring. Folks have moved the trees and slash we used to block off an old road that goes along the creek that is not on the designated OHV trail system. If you'll be here this weekend please let me know about how many folks you'll have. If you have access to a pull behind auger or something bigger than a hand auger with a 9 inch auger that would be great. The area is rocky if you recall. You can contact NC 4x4 and see if they would like to work on Dutch John with you this weekend and test out their new auger. We'd also have you guys clean up any debris from corduroy crossings that aren't working and that we dismantled and we might have you tighten up some of the crossings we didn't get to in the spring.
Who has (and wants to bring) an auger for us? I'm hitting up nc4x4 to see if they want to join us too... WooHoo! It's not just trash pickup duty!
Matt, do you know which day you'll be making it? I hope it's Saturday.
See ya Friday/Saturday folks! Be ready to work!

Will anybody be hanging out back at the campground? I'd love to come along for the ride but am not quite up to bouncing along the trail yet. :crying:

Jill and I are "battling" that right now... She wants to go so badly, but doesn't want to be "stuck" at camp with coop all day... Know any fun "kid" places in the area? (aside from asheboro zoo)...

If you bring nothing else I would suggest a decent pair of boots and work gloves.
