Irmo73's Build
#31
Dallas convinced me to go with them since he has dealt used them for his GM trucks
the only delay was that they initially sent a large case alternator which wouldnt fit.
internal regulator internal fan
looks like its running while im idling at about 800rpm
dont know if it has one of those internal triggers
havent dropped below 14 volts at idle or seen any dimming etc
(nice to actually have a voltmeter)
of course ive only had it one day
did i mention i also have a new wiring harness?

Who is this Dallas?!!!! Is this your mechanic that has been doing all the work? I'm surprised you couldn't use your volt meter on ur new cluster guage.

I meant that my old cluster's ammeter didnt work so I never have had any readings until the new cluster's voltmeter
Dallas Ebel is a good old truck mechanic with a autoshop here in Irmo. He has done mainly GMs but now has a hired on a Ford guy (Brian).
They know oceans more than I do, lol!!

Me and several others on here can say the samething! I'm a Jack-of-all trades, but Master-of-none-of'em!

I will find this Dallas you speak of. Do you know if he does wheel alignments?

just had my first case of what i think was death wobble
hit a relatively benign bump in the road at about 50mph and it felt like the front end was going to come off for about 2 secs!!
after that it was totally fine and has not happened since
the stock radius arms look worn out in several spots
