Irmo73's Build
I drove mine all weekend and it was awesome!!
night and day braking compared to before
handles much, much better
dropped it off this morning because the rear discs dragged badly all of a sudden saturday and then went back to normal.. i think the hydroboost is putting too much pressure on the master cylinder.. hopefully only a minor adjustment
still leaning after driving so we will need to work that out
also.. no power to the satellite radio??
oh yeah, have to lengthen the front drive shaft with the higher lift
little things (i hope)

Sounds like ur brakes need need adjusting. Sounds like the rears still think they are drum brakes. Chuck or Charles may chime in on how to address that one.
I would not worry too much about the lean. After about a 1000 miles all nuts need to be re-tourqued if I read right when installing any SL. There are some recent threads on Classic on that issue.
As far as the front d-shaft I don't really see why you would need a new longer shaft? I have 3.5" SL and mine looks fine in the front, the rear is a lil different (I have 4.5" leafs back there to compensate for the the rear bumper and tire). My rear d-shaft is pushing it but the angle is another issue I'm concerned about. I may need to add shims there down the road. If you are planning to go rock hoping then you will need both rebuilt fr & rr d-shafts.

3/8" nut placed as a spacer between the MC and the hydroboost seemed to fix all the brake dragging -- really nice even braking now with good brake pedal travel
Lean is almost gone after some more front end adjustments
Calibrated the speedo this morning with the new gauge (super easy!!)
At 80 mph, 3240 RPM
At 60 mph, about 2500 RPM
The sweet spot feels like 2300-2500 RPM perfect for in town driving which is what I will mainly do
Excellent pickup and smooth ride up to 60mph -- sluggish beyond that
Haven't tried 4wd with the new front shaft yet
Probably need a new satellite radio receiver, this one seems dead
Otherwise the stereo is perfect

the weekend was wonderful
great weather, took out the windows on the new top, drove around alot
too bad it didnt end so well
drove over to a friends house for a superbowl party lastn night
at halftime, looked out the window and noticed a large pool of liquid underneath the bronco
got underneath with a flashlight and noticed the fuel line from the rear tank had somehow worked its way out of position and part of it was laying on the drivers side muffler!!!
the heat had burned through the line and fuel was dripping onto the muffler and then to the ground
good thing that front tank is working
drove home (1.5 miles) and took a hemostat and clamped off the fuel line
good thing it didnt cause a fire i guess (im going to be a glass is half full kinda guy on this)

Dallas told me that Chuck came in town. Guess yaw wanted to go to Hooters w/o moi.Confusedcratchhe: May be one of these days I will be worthy of mtg the grand Poohbah :notworthy:.

Atleast you are enjoying your bronco other than lastnight's minute problem. This weekend was beautiful and I was stuck repairing jets. My EB is still stuck at the garage with a lost drum/ rotor that Autozone can't seem to find. So I ordered one from BC and hopefully it will get here to Dallas soon. Meanwhile he is gonna fix the gas gauge/ sending unit.

Wish I coulda met up with you guys!

Good deal Irmo73! I'm glad it was an easy fix for ya.

I went to Hooters last night for the Superbowl out here in Albuquerque.... I'm still hungover:puke:

Crawdad - I'm hope the parts show up soon for ya. I've found that lurking on CB4x4 helps fill the void.:xyxthumbs:
