MEB At URE - May 19, 2012

Just a bit of an update on plans since people have been asking.

We'll plan on leaving from the campground around 9:00 and will head to the big double parking lot off of Dutch John Rd. (553) to unload, air down, group up and figure out what trails to ride, plan on leaving from the parking lot around 9:30-10 (the map I posted says meet at 8:30, ignore that). We will come through this parking lot quite a bit throughout the day if anyone gets in late or gets lost, so that may be the best way to catch up with us.

We will be running channel 15 on the CB

From what I have been hearing, the Rangers and other law enforcement have been stepping up patrols, so if you are in a rig that is not street legal it would be best to trailer it to the parking lot to unload, we will figure out trail routes to keep you off the roads.

Great day of wheeling! I did cut a tire on Daniel. Oh well.

BTW, i coulda swore I saw JP driving that red Yota 4runner out there. Looked just like him. i figure that if it was him, he'd have stopped when he saw the line of broncos coming. wierd!

will post some pics up in a bit. sorry i had to take off in a hurry. wanted to catch the ECORS race action on the computer. hate that i missed it (had to work on Fri), but was glad to get out to URE to run w/you all!

Here are some pics. Didn't take many. We started with a bunch of rigs and it narrowed down during the day (a few had Heep buddies with them and the Heeps broke)... Also a few had to leave early.

Looks like ya'll had a good turn out. Wish i could have been there, but we are all balled up for the entire weekend......Still have the URE mud on my rig from the M&G weekend. Looks as if mud was not an issue!

Great time last Saturday. Glad that the others stayed for the afternoon trail runs.

Pics are of the rigs and some of the "ghetto mods" that have been done over the years...everything from tape and fuse boxes to wire hangar used to mod your glovebox!!

You will recognize the Toyotas better since they are upside down

I finished with a full tank of gas, a Big Red Soda and a Mud Pie. All-N-All...a great time.
