Homebuilt SxS

finally got the mounts finished for the suspension seats and got them mounted. Pass seat bolts into stock mounts so it can be easily removed to get the battery out.

Here are some pics of the 2 in there. It is a tighter squeeze now vs the stock seats.

Got the stereo stuff installed. Nothing crazy but sounds good for $100.

Also installed an ammo can for more storage. Fit nicely behind the ebrake handle.

So as with most things, staying small will not likely last too long. I have taken the rig out a few times now and it is fun, but want to get back into something I can ride with my friends.

Plan to gather the rest of the parts, so it is not down long when the build actually starts.

Pulled out my 9" parts and started putting the axle together.

got a little more work done on this thing. Have the front 4 link and tube work tacked in place. Was hoping to have it lower than in currently is, but not gonna happen without pushing the front axle out another 8"+. Still should fit out a 7' garage door at ride height.

Here are a few pics of it at full bump.

Rear is sitting under it, but still need to build the mounts and links. Right now the wb is planned to be ~110".

Too funny. So much for a SxS. Guess that is how it is out in Big Dixie Bogger country.

Was wondering if you still had that 9" front axle. Guess you do. I want to put one under the racer someday.

Actually most of the Boggers are riding sxs these days. The few folks I tend to ride most with though all have v8 rigs with 40"+ tires. I am building this to ride with them but not really hit all the crazy stuff. Plus I have an atv if I want to ride faster trails with a sxs.

I have been wanting to do the 9" for a while. At some point I might build another, if so I'll make it use stock length shafts and go 35 spline.
