Didnt get much dont this week, did recive my fender flares so I can start working on cutting the quaters for them. I'm going a diffrent route with my mounting. Insted of rivits I am going to use the epoxie that is used for instaling rear quarters in body shops. I have to buy the gun to use for it but I think it will work better for my look and wont crack the paint like rivets do. I will post some pics as I get started, I'm still int he middle of the right hinge post and I also need to do some rocker work. I am thinking of trimming the rockers and making some ski's insted of the tube setup I have now. Will let yall know.
Thanks, Robert the shop fits 3 cars plus lots of shelves and benches (and its own batheroom)!

I know I have been quiet lately, been away for the holidays. Thought i would post some pics of my progress.
Finished buzzing in the drivers door hing post, had to oblong the mounting holes for the hinges to bring the door down to fit. Now that the body lines match I moved onto the pass side. I buzzed the pass side in and found that once the door was mounted it was off. Too narrow on the top. Cut the front side of the mount and made a door spreader (steel square stock with a scissor jack on the top).
Now that all that is right I mounted the painted frame on new bushings to the tub. All fits right so I flipped it over to refinish the underside. Started with scrapping and will be sandblasting next.
I will also be cutting the rear fenders for the flares, I'll be using a 1/2 dozen screws to mount the flares with an epoxie to hold them on. Then I can pull the screws out and fill in the holes. It wont be a totaly smooth mounting but it wont have any rivits to bleed threw the paint.

Looking good! What are those two mounts in front of the leaf spring hangers? Look like two boxes to hold batteries.

You got it! Currently I have them mounted in one tray on the pass side of the frame that can only be reached threw the bed of the body. This new setup will let me take them out from underneath. I realy like to keep everything ballanced. Its something I picked up from my baja builds. I run optima red tops with an isolator so I can still jump start from under the hood if needed. All my battery wiring is one ought. Extra heavy duty.
I also have made a drive shaft catch that unbolts from the frame. My current one is welded in and makes taking out the T-case fun.
I also added the brace for my steering box setup. I even have a spare box that is ready to go in.

Sand blasted, sand blasted some more. Cut out the rear fenders to fit the flairs. Need to finish up some welding on patches that were done from the top and then I can start painting the underside. Using the same paint as the frame. I will also be putting aluminum heat shealds on the underside to drop the temps coming threw the floor.

Are these heat shields off the shelf or custom? I need to do a bit of shielding for my floors.

The heat sheilds will be a combination of alumium pannels and store bought stuff from Summit.
Weleded in the last of the repair pannels, smothed them out with a flap disk. Painted every surface that you cant get to when its upright. Yes there is a bare spot in the back, that is where a hole will be cut for my fuel cell. The frame is done and now I need to set the tub back onto it. I also need to pick up the cage tubing and plate steel for the cage tie mounts. Before I start on the outer body work I will tie in the cage to the frame.
I'll be cutting and installing the aluminum pannels later today.
Still driving Pe'pe for the time being, I do have the front fenders to clean up and mount, 2 sets of doors to prep and a tailgait to prep. So I can do quiet a bit before I have to tear it all apart to switch it over.
