CB4x4 Hell Week**aka-Ultimate Adventure**
#11
Here is a list of requirements I have adapted from UA and Pirate. See anything to add?

Vehicle must be road worthy and capable 60 mph (sustained) and a fuel range of at least 150 miles.

Vehicle must be street licensed and insured

Driver must have a valid driver's license, current registration, and current proof of insurance.

Front and rear axle lockers (limited slips okay).

Must be self-sufficient (bring your own spare parts, fluids, tools, food and water)

Front mounted vehicle recovery winch, and controller

Winch accessory kit (tree saver, snatch block, clevis, chain, gloves)

Rollbar (rollcage preferred)

Adequate first-aid kit per Red Cross requirements (We don't have time to take your dumbass to the hospital if you break your foot!!!)

Seatbelts for all occupants

Adequate recovery tow hooks and/or shackle/clevis attachment points front and rear

Secure battery hold-down

33-inch minimum tire size and adequate spare tire

Functional parking brake (line locks okay)

Properly working CB radio

Fire extinguisher mounted in reach of occupants

Snatch strap/recovery rope-without metal hooks

Adequate jack and jack points

NO HAULER TRAILERS. YOU MUST DRIVE YOUR JUNK! Exception is to get to a repair facility. Utility trailers are okay.

and since Ultimate adventure is technically used...we need an official name...i dub'd it hell week, but we can come up with ideas too

I'm a little late to this thread. This sounds awesome! According to the list Chuzie posted I'm lacking 90% of those items. I would have to spend a lot of money to be ready for this in a year. Nevertheless I've always had a vision that my Bronco would be an expedition style truck. This will be the motivation I need to complete the "plan". If I can't get my chit together in time then maybe someone would have a seat for me.

I am also happy to post suggested spare parts / fluid suggestions but I think it is important to understand that bringing YOUR OWN spare parts and tools is a MUST. Yes, I am a D!CK, but not because of this. Look, we all want to help one another in every way we can, but we drive vehicles that have parts that are hard to get and we cannot rely on others to carry us, especially on a trip like this.

I'm just going to throw this out there now. I'm pretty sure my wife would divorce me if I spent all the money for lockers, axles, gears, suspension lift, bumpers, winch, and winch gear, and the cost of the trip with in the next year.

So...who has a open seat for me?

Well the obvious choice is divorce. What is the problem? Confusedcratchhe:
