CB4x4 Hell Week**aka-Ultimate Adventure**
#31
Here is one of my proposals. 4 parks / 4 states / 7 days / 850 Miles / concluding @ Meet + Greet OR NovRun 2014.

Thoughts?

Sat - Travel to Beasley Knob (Blairsville, GA)
Sun - Wheel Beasley Knob
Mon - Travel to Windrock (Oliver Springs, TN)
Tue - Wheel Windrock
Wed - Travel to Harlan (Evarts, KY)
Thr - Wheel Harlan
Fri - Travel to Uwharrie (Troy, NC)
Sat - Wheel Uwharrie
Sun - Travel Home

Here is a map

I considered incorporating the Super Celebration or Fall Crawl into the mix but either would require departing and returning on a weekday rather than a weekend as depicted above.

Thoughts?

From what it sounds like, the Fawl Crawl is moving to Gore VA. Makes that idea about impossible Sad

I would think that if the trip went to TN, the schedule would allow to ride Beasley, Windrock, Harlan, and another. I don't see much point in riding URE, unless it was attached to the Nov run or the M&G. I think everyone has been there and knows it and it is not really near anything else.

Bumping this back up for conversation.

How confident are you in the Fawl Crawl info? Can you confirm that so as to completely eliminate it as a possibility?

I agree about URE 100%. The only reason it is on there is to coincide with NovRun or M+G.

Is there another spot in NC or even southern VA that would be worth a shot? If not, let's look at finding a park in one of the states talked about already and nix the 1 park / state idea.

C'mon folks. Why am I one of the only people with input on location? The idea of this event gives me a friggin hard-on and I am stoked to iron out the details and get the ball rolling.

Let's get a fawking move on it slackers!!! It's not like we are talking about t-shirts here. HAHAHA!!!

I can confirm that Fawl Crawl was moved to Gore - not enough participation last year (per MEB) and too far for their core members to travel. Harlan is still the BEST place I have ever wheeled though and I'll miss going to the Bronco event there. I think I've been to every Fawl Crawl for 7 years now.... won't be making it to Gore though.

I think this is a KILLER idea, but I don't have a dog in this fight. I don't have a Bronco worthy of interstate travel by any means. Even the blue one stays off of the highway. For those of you like Chuzie and Chuck that drive long distances and wheel - I give you major props!

Thanks for the good info. Gonna start looking into options to modify the timeline and route accordingly.

Ya, my Bronco build has always been geared toward being a driver. I get so much satisfaction driving to an event, beating the piss out of my rig, and driving home; usually without my rear end exploding!

That being said, I sure wouldn't mind having the trailer option. It would relieve a lot of the stress on the trail in some cases.

Just created a Google map to show all the trails from the GAJeepers site. Let me know if it is missing something. Take a look and let's see what we are interested in considering.
