Ms Piggy. Black and Blue!
While doing that I figured it would be a good idea to cut the rear wheel tubs out a bit for the shock mounts and for tire clearance. Didn't go crazy with it, just cut off the excess.

Got the driver's side done as well. You probably can't see it in the first pic but there are about 5 spots where holes were drilled and bondo oozed through it when someone mudded up the rocker panel. The rear quarter panel had a fair amout of mud in it too. Out of curiosity I went at it with the flap disc to see how bad it was. Other than that spot the body is in pretty good shape and has very little rust. A few dents but nothing too major.

I'll assure you that I get plenty of sleep every night. It is one of the few things that I'm good at. My goal is to try and have this thing done by Aug- so with that I've been in the garage a couple hours a day.

Funny you should mention the rust part. That was what I was going to work on today. Got the front inner fenders back in place to check for any engine fitment issues. Along with that, I still have to fix where I cut the clip to make it removable. Of course the areas at the corner of the inner fenders and cowl area needed some work. The pass side had visible rusting going on. The driver's side looked good but I decided to do some work on it as well.

I'm not done with any of it yet but at least I got started on it today. And yes, I decided to close off the fresh air inlet for the heater box while I was at it.

Well, with the lousy weather I didn't get much done this weekend. Did sit the hood on it to check for clearance. Right now the body is sitting on it with 2" lift blocks. I'm going to lower it to a 1" body lift with the WH integral body mount kit. Got to order that tomorrow.

As well, I started pulling a 3.5" heavy duty Duff's rear spring pack apart. My plans are to remove the 3rd leaf from the top and the bottom 2 small leaves. This should hopefully make it sit a fair bit lower than it does now.

Weather has sucked lately. Hadn't done much. Got the front F250 shock mounts tacked in place for the Fox remote resi shocks. A couple quick pics.

Shock travel for the front is 14" and the rears are at 12". Still have to make some mounts for the rear shocks. The plan is to make it all fit without cutting the inner fenders up at either end.

Also, got a few parts finally. Like Christmas in January! Can't wait to get the credit card bill this month...

charles with F250 mounts and 14" shocks do you think, they would clear the stock inner fenders?

I think so Big Grin

Here are a few pics of it now. This is with a 1" body lift. I ended up buying the WH ones that are 1 piece and will be selling the 2" body lift.

Also included are pics of what I'm working on now. I got Iron Man Andy to make a super beefy track bar for the front that is 9.5" longer than a stock length track bar. It has 7/8" heims on both ends. I ground some wrench flats on it and had to shorten it just a touch.

The lower track bar mount is going to be located on the inner C of the front axle. The adjustable track bar and WH track bar riser is now a plan of the past. I hope the longer track bar will help with driveability and handling.
