The frame reinforcement kit from BC is great. I had the same issue as you and it was worth the $ not having to fab something up.

Sounds like you need to pull the bolt out and make or buy a sleeve the exact width of the frame, then put the bolt back in with a washer on each side so it doesn't squeeze the frame. Sounds similar to one of the options i will have to do if I go that rought for the trans crossmember me and Charles discused while out there.

Yep. looked at the BC kit. Like the fact that it has the holes for the 4x4x2 swap also.
