Well spent a few hours on the electrical today, the first wirring harness 3 way plug I found wasn't right but found another on one of the boddies I have sitting here and fixed most of the wirring on this one. So that I can install the solenoid and battery along with new cables and the starter tomorrow and compression test the engine. As for what isn't fixed the altenator wirring pig tail is messed up but luckly it still fits not sure how well it will work but for what I need this weekend it will do the job. Also got my altenator and startor checked and they are both good still.

that is the only altenator pig tail I have found so far gonna keep looking also gonna call some of the local junk yards to see if they have any old fords and see if they have the same pigtail on them. If anyone has one and wants to sell one I am game to buy.

Here are some pics you will see the old and the new in one, the second pic the wirring was so bad there was no plug to try and save or cut off every thing was tapped up or bare wires rapped around solenoid posts. Also the yellow and black wires where just bare wire spliced together and an end with an eyelet put on some of the bare wire.

Ok I got the solenoid and new battery cables and battery and starter installed and did the compression test on all 8 cylanders. The Drivers side is reading 125 with one 150 and the passangers side is readding 110 with one 105. Should I worry about the difference since it has sat so long and try to get it back to life for now or do I need to tear into the engine now?

If the cylinders are lubed up i would be concerned about those numbers.

Ok gonna play the newby card here, I put oil in the engine about a week ago but havn't fired it or tried to turn it over till today. So if I am thinking properly they wouldn't be oiled up till it is cranked over. If my thinking is wrong please let me know. Also any suggestions on what next is great.

I recommend pouring a tbsp of oil in each cyl and repeating test. If pressure rises ur rings r shot. If not i would suspect valving. Either way, those numbers seem a little low

I agree with Chuzie. It will run with those numbers, but they aren't very good. Shoot a little oil in each and see what happens. I bet they'll rise. 150 is what you want to see. 105 is not.

Ok tried this again after I put some oil in each cylinder, now remember I havn't got this thing started yes so the engine isn't warm.

#8 130 now this one after getting fustrated I put pnuematic disconects on either the hose for the compression tester and the addapter so I wouldn't have to try and spin the guage. So it might be off a little as I didn't use any teflon tape to seal between those. And the battery seemed to be dying a little. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

So that tells us your rings or walls are toast. Furthermore, number 8 is doneski.
