It really has nothing to do with the battery I thought it did but it was a bad voltage reg. I got a replacement battery coming so...
Then the guys at alterstart are great new alt. coming...
The acid-gel did discolor the hood badly in a spot about the size of a football...a little bit on the inside of the fender...a little bit on my radiator...everything cleaned up pretty good except for the hood...but nothing that the high temp red rattle can can't fix

I think it might be time we all consider a battery discount...real close to the driver!!!
