I'm in need of a 6' long piece of steel. Has anyone ordered steel from an online distributor? If you have, and were pleased with the service, who did you use?
Thanks!

I've ordered from nationaltubesupply.com before. Good service and they can usually ship to my door cheaper than I can buy local when I order several hundred feet. Smaller orders I've found it cheaper to buy local.
What type of steel are you looking for - if it's just one piece that's 6' long you would probably be better off finding a local steel supplier.

I agree that local places would be cheaper, but the closest "local" steel supply company is in Savannah which is 120 miles round trip.
I'm looking at a 6' piece of 6" channel to make into a simple bumper...
