Things have been a little slow for us in the design industry...we've got projects that are keeping things steady for us but the contractors are SLOW (like Robert said).....a lot of times they are hiring us to do the design work, getting pricing and then sitting on things......we are doing a lot of church work I guess because they are raising money within the congregation.

Hang in there everyone.......

Depends on what you do. A State Trooper in Colorado makes around 56600 in the first year.

i thought about becoming a nc state highway patrolman. the school training is very hard but the pay starts around $40,000.00. it would be a slight paycut but i hear you move up fast and retirement and benefits are great.

I've been checking. Starting pay for city/county officers is high $20k-low $30k. NCHP starts out at $34k. Not sure how all the rest of the benefits work out. But like my wife and I discussed, a two year program in something like Physical Therapy starts out a $50k. Everyone knows at least one person that has had surgery or an accident and need to visit one. I'm sure it is probably pretty competitive to get in the program, but as a male I would most likely be a minority.

were very slow at the dealership. Sales is dead, were still scraping 25-30hours a week. Not sure how long I can hang on like this. Due to the drop in sales and work I have been told I wont be getting any raise. Even with my GTR/master certification coming threw back in august. No money:banghead:
Were going to try and refinance, but not sure if it will be worth it in the long run.
For now, my full size sits with a dead fuel pump, the eb sits with busted trackbar bracket, and a throttle cable. The crew cab is just plane on hold. I hope to at least get liz's stealth back together this spring.
I am planning growing all my own vegitables this year Confusedmokin:
Just hope gas doesnt go up too much, I would like to afford to drive my trucks some this summer.
Atleast I have my old faithfull, my cb750four. That thing gets 70mpg with just me on it:biggthumpup:

Well today is the first day of my "waiting period" for unemployment. The heaviness really seems to set in. The plant is only scheduled to work every other week till Mar 13. That means only 4 more paychecks. It sort of sucks:thefinger:.

I'm an optimist, though. And am looking forward to moving on to a new carrier field. I just hate having to deal with the ESC. They are overworked, underpaid, and could careless if they help anyone. It's really tough to look for work, when your not released from your current job for another month.

Things have been kind of interesting for David's job, too....he put in his 2 week notice because a job he'd been pursuing over the past 2 months came thru....well.....friday was his last full day and around 2:30 or so he packed up his tools and said goodbye.....he stopped by the office to see me and by the time he got home (which was about 45 minutes later) there was a message on the answering machine from a co-worker saying that they let everyone go right after he left and shut the place down.....service and parts has completely dissolved and there are some sales people left to move some RV's but they're giving them about 2 months tops.

Talk about TIMING!....things are whacked out there!
