elec. Ignition

I am triyng to swap out my points for electronic I have stock module out of a 76 and distributor there is a red and white wires for one plug and the other plug has green black purple and orange on the module. I know I wont be using all these wires. And the dist. has three wires black black/red black/purple. where do these wires go?
