Yes!!! That's a great place for a romantic get away! My wife and I camped in Mt. Pleasant at the KOA and commuted across the old bridge to Charleston. We had a wonderful time. I would recommend it to any young couple. ( that was before CB4X4, Chuck!) :xyxthumbs:

Great place. My wife and I went there on our anniversery trip a few years ago. She loved it and I had a really good time as well. Find yourself I nice bed and breakfast. We stayed at the Battery Carrige House in all the way down on the Battery. the normally have a package deal where you can get a carrige ride, admission to a couple of the famous houses and maybe a late nigh ttour of the city included all in one price.
Just a side note, we went down to Savanah, GA last year and we both agreed that we enjoyed it more, but I would go back to either place. I loved them both.

My wife and I (and kids) stayed at the isle of palms resort just across the harbor.
The beach and pools are nice at the resort and they had some smoking deals at the hotel there.
It's a short drive across to charleston. We parked at the aquarium and took a bike taxi into town.
Had dinner then a carrage ride around the battery. It was a nice little trip and did'nt cost a fortune.

If you're going in late Sept., go to Asheville. The leaves are just starting to turn(if you're lucky) and the mountains are always peaceful. There's lots to do in Asheville if you plan ahead. Cherokee might be another choice. You're just a short drive from Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge and I know there's plenty to do there. :xyxthumbs:
