i have the inline 6 1988 it have the smog control but it is not hooked up what i mean by that is the holes coming off of it arent hooked up to anything the belt is to running to it can i just take it off and get a smaller belt or should i just leave it alone and does anyone else have the inline 6 fuel inj cuz i wanted to see pic cuz i think im missing a few parts cuz i have a holes that goes up to the motor but is not conneted to anything else and it try to cut off while going down the ride but i do know i need a tune up bad

I'm not sure but S.C. doesn't require that equip. to be in working order. Somebody correct me! Any way, just take it off and tune'er up. You'll be a lot happier!! :xyxthumbs:

As I remember there was an idler pulley that mounted where the pump is now.
If you unbolt the pump, and the belt route clears everything you can remove it and get a shorter belt. Use a soft cloth measuring tape (one from your wifes sewing kit work but dont let her catch you) to measure the correct size.

SC doesn't have anything YET. Charleston just got an F for air quality so I would not be surprised if something is passed soon rather than later. As for us old car folks, no worries we will be grandfathered anyway.

yea sc may as well cuz they are just going to be it for the money so help sc out all i care about the most is keeping my pipes loud as long as i can do that im good to go lol all my other cars are good on smog control so no worrys their
