I would like to use my hitch mounted basket/ tray for URE though I have no hitch on my EB. I don't really need a hitch at least for now so would it be worth while to weld some square tube to accept the basket or just bite the bullet and buy a hitch.
Is there a cost effective hitch recommendation out there for our application under $100.00?

You should be able to make one for about $30. Fields has the hitch inserts and "select drops". Then just weld it up and bold it on.

Gee I thought your front bumper was a basket:hysterical:
If your going to weld in a receiver be sure and do it right. It can then be used as a pull point. My suggestion would be hit up a salvage yard for one.
Usually get one for about $20.

Fields Ornamental Iron and Welding Inc on CrossCounty Rd.
A ranger of F150 trailer hitch from the junkyard would be easy to adapt as well.

Think I will hit the yard for something to adapt. At least then I know it is somewhat solid. I suck at welding so that is half the battle. Thanks guys.
BTW- My front bumper is more like stadium seating than a basket. It makes life on the trail much more interesting since i have such limited AOA availability.
