time for new axles!

do you know whether converting the rear D60 from drums to discs, will cost you an inch or two in width? I'm thinking in the end you might need to run spacers on an axle to match 'em both up.

I put disc on my rear and do not think it changed the width, but I will pull a tape and compare it to the front when I get home.

I bought brackets off of ebay and the guy gave me a list of parts to make it work. It ended up costing a total of aprox. $250. I measured my front and rear and the rear is going to be aprox. 5" narrower than the front - I didn't expect that.

Not sure if this will help, AA manufacturing makes brake caliper brackets.
Might be able to use one of there univrsal weld on brackets might work.

5"? What are you gonna do? I'm currently running 1.25" spacers on all 4 corners and I've run 'em in the past on other vehicles with no problems, but 2.5" wheel spacers seems a bit much. But then again, they'd only be mounted on the rear axle. Or I guess you can go with 1.25" wheel spacers out back and live with the 2" difference. Would that be more acceptable?



I'd definitely want all the wheels to have the same BS as well, so what other options does that leave, shorten the driver's side front axle tube and go with custom axle shafts? I'll research further...

BTF has awesome products. I usually pay more for BTF, but their service is awesome. They've shipped me the wrong parts before, charged the wrong prices for parts, etc. - but no matter what they always make it right to me without any hassle (credit my CC, send new parts and tell me to keep old parts, etc.).

Yeah, those are the GLO ones. Maybe I'll go with those and use the money I save towards purchasing their HD diff cover.

I'll have to call 'em though. The picture on their website (above) doesn't show the bracket going all the way around like the BTF ones. I just liked BTF's better because I figured the more coverage and bolts, the better.
