Trey, the 1st one is for an external clip, the second one is for an internal. most caps have the grove for a internal...however if there is a grove on the outside of the housing(H block) then i would use that...ill go see what mine are and report back.

heres what it should be Trey. use a socket(that best fits the cap) and press them in far enough to install the clips

ok, so I don't need to worry about the internal type. I have been using the external clips. I guess I just need to try one more time and make sure I press the cap in deeper.

Trey, check that one of the needle bearings hasn't slipped out of place and the grease is holding it sideways in the bottom of the cap....That happened to me once and there is no way in hell to get the clip on with that needle bearing causing interference....cratchhe:

I love the look of the side exhaust and tips as well....But, with the exhaust pipes routed between the rear springs and frame rails, won't the pipe get pinched when one or the other of the springs are fully compressed in an off-camber situation? In the picture it just looks like there is not much clearance between spring, exhaust pipe, and frame rail. Am I totally off-base with this observation?....cratchhe:

Mike, you're right about this one :banghead:. Looks like one of the pipes got bent this weekend so I'll have to get them rerouted. I may have to just take them out the back.

Hey guys, anybody with side exhaust exiting in front of rear wheels have pictures of how they routed the pipes. I am sure Trey would appreciate any ideas....I can't help because mine exit behind the rear wheels....cratchhe:

im getting mine done on thursday in front of tires. i will snap some pics and post them this weekend after i get it back

Quick update.. I had the exhaust rerouted out the back last week.

This week I also tackled the following:

• Repaired pits on my rear axle and installed a new seal. Hopefully my chronic axle leak is finally resolved
  
• Dropped the gas tank and fixed the fuel gauge issue. It's great to actually know when I'm on E :hysterical:
  
• Mounted my tuffy security console
  
• Ended up taking the grinder to my old column shifter. Will certainly keep it for the memories :xyxthumbs:
  

Now, I guess I drive it!! :toothy12:
