If you can't fix it with a hammer and a welder then your gonna need a new one!

so ran into a snag after installing winch...protofab winch bumper vs. ramsey patriot...bumper won! however they did say it will fit most winches..lmao...but i cut winch tabs off and got them attached to the winch and gonna recenter them and weld them into place. not a big issue just aggravating..

winch is in and added some lights to tabs. i have to wire them up. and also need to weld a tab for the winch hook to grab onto.

well hit a wall head on!! engine was running so well. then while at ure it started running rough like it was misfiring. finished the weekend and brought it home. checked timing it was good. put a vac guage on carb and said that ign timing late. so with that i changed the plugs and done a compression test. everything seems to check out. i have fire and fuel but will not crank. getting some spitback through the carb now. im wandering if it has jumped a tooth on the timing gear?:banghead:

set the engine to TDC on #1 and see if the dist. aligns with the post on the cap that goes to the #1 wire. that is a quick way to tell if it has skipped. the other thing you can do is loosen the dist and move it to advance or retard it to see if it will fire. it could be possible that your tank had crud in it that got sucked into the carb. i would check timing first before tearing it all apart.
