I was thinking of using lockwashers and nuts on mounting my front fenders, grill, etc. Is there any reason I should stick with the nut clip nuts. That sounds kinda funny! Just wanted to see if anyone had done this and what was the outcome. The only thing I can come up with is the clips might be easier to work with once put into place. Is my thinking right? It was a long time ago when I took this thing apart!

I have had to use washers and nutz just cuz the clips could not be used since the area had been tore out :hysterical:
If I had a choice I would use the clips just for the ease of removal and not having to hold the nut while turng the bolt. But use what you have and maybe replace um with the clips when possible.

same here i have a couple that are nuts and bolts for same reason. clips are for ease.
If you can't fix it with a hammer and a welder then your gonna need a new one!
