Need help with transfer case install
#11
It's hard to know for sure because everything is hidden within the section that sits between the case and the transmission. I'm thinking if I can use the long bolts as guides then at least I'll know that the entry angle is correct and then work on the spline alignment once I get it close enough. I guess it would help to have the transmission in gear when we try it tonight.

mine went together fairly easy had to use bolts to pull it the last inch or so but the rest slid right together. have to make sure you are level with tranny.
If you can't fix it with a hammer and a welder then your gonna need a new one!

Well, yet another round with no success :banghead: :banghead:

We get it about 2 inches away and need to lift the case up an inch or so to get everything level but there's a body support crossing in that spot and it prevents the case from coming up to level.

Time to take a break and come back to it. I might just move forward with the body lift, that should give us the clearance we need to level it.

All this effort, momma unhappy, no successful install... well, the beer's cold :hysterical:

give us some pics of the surrounding areas. are you stock body lift right now? did you put the case in gear and rotate the output shaft to ensure the splines are not an issue when mating?
