Gen 2 window in Gen 1 door
#1
Has any one ever done this. I want to get rid of my vent windows because they leak terribly and the frames are rusted. I've never removed windows before, is this really hard or is there any special trick to it?

I'm sure it could be done. Though I don't know how hard it would be. Have you thought about swapping for late model doors?

BTW, here is a local yard that specializes in Rangers, BII, and Explorers:

The cost of everything I need is not to bad from LMC. That way I wouldn't have to worry about paint, door panels, and equipment in the doors. I've given it some thought and will probably switch out the glass, as soon as it warms up in my garage! Thanks for the info about the salvage yard. ( I hate to call them "junk yards" because some of the stuff they have is priceless, not junk at all!!!! LOL)

Not yet, but this is future stuff. I'm "jazzin" up my golf cart for the beach right now. I'll be in Myrtle from today through Tuesday. If any body is near come by Ocean Lakes campground and look me up.

I'm home now but I did need towing, it was my golf cart! It bit the dust during the storm we had Friday night. I think it is a relay in the charging system, won't know for sure 'til tomorrow! It's good to be back!!

Since this thread was started, I've talked to a lot of people. All say switch the whole door. The door panels are different but if it's the same color itwould look ok! I might try it later this summer, if my grandson will approve the project!!! LOL :xyxthumbs:
