Does anyone have any ideas or solutions for a home made diff guard on a front D44 or rear 9"?

I think Clay was saying that Matt puts a stock 44 diff cover in front of the real diff cover and uses a couple washers to keep it away from the 2nd diff cover, if that makes sense. That would be cheap and easy.
I have a 9" skid on order from WH. It was only $45. I figured that I couldn't fab something up for that price. It is weld on. When it arrives, I can take some pics of it if you would like.

Sounds good. Thanks. Guess I need to find a D44 diff cover.
