Thanks brian and Chuzie, i am so stoked! im finally in a spot where i need more time than money right now, and i am so ready to get rollin on this thing! February is going to be declared official resto month at 901 Cadbury St.!!! Chassis teardown party anyone?

SC74- thanks man! the crazy thing is that all that new sheet metal has already been cut on! i welded in rock skis on the tub so i have already hung all the body parts and trimed them to match the new rocker line. hopefully, i can weld in the quarters in a week or two... anybody know a good source for high buidl primer?

The State allows me to work a 4 day work week so I have every friday off. Sundays are usually with family and keeping wife happy with her honey-do-list! I can give ya Fridays and Saturdays but Sundays are hers. Have fun at the Gulches!

"here are some pics of the un bodied frame... check out that sweet exhaust!"

I am more wondering what was on the plate with the fork sitting on the gas tank. That is some dedication, eating while working... You are really cranking away on that thing. Great progress!

id like to be able to say i found that there when i pulled the body off, but the truth is, my lovely wife was sweet enough to insist that i eat something during a day of commited work. she's a keeper!

well, i havnt got as much done as i would have liked, i got tasked out with a surprise detail at work, and things are actually just settling down.

i did get the rear half of the frame sprayed with rust bullet, and the trans/T-case is removed. I repaired the bent up drivers side frame horn by cutting a wedge out and bending it back out straight, then welding in a new wedge... and built a new drivers front body mount to replace the mangled one. Thankfully the rest of the frame appears to be pretty straight, so i should be good there.

Money is the big hold up at the moment but taxes are due in, so i should get rolling on some parts soon. im gonna order my raptor spray in bedliner, and get started on my cage, and try to get the body finished and completely assembled. Ifi can borrow a engine stand from somebody and get the engine out, then i should be able to finish spraying the frame and get it ready for reassembly. the plan sounds simple, but we will see how it all pans out. college is demanding a lot of off duty time right now...

ill post up some pics this weekend, just havnt had time to get out the camera yet...

i have an engine stand you can borrow. biggest thing is that i am in charlotte... i picked it up at harbor freight. they aren't terribly expensive. mine is the cheap one. if you are up this way, you are more than welcome to swing by.

sounds like you have made some progress though. one bite at a time, right???
