leaf springs
#1
I am thinking about replacing my rear leaf springs. Right now I have a 3.5" lift in the front, with 1" add a leaf and 2" block in the back with the stock springs(37 years old). Just looking for some input on which brand to go with.

I have a set of 3.5 Cage Leafs that i like a lot. They are comprised of only 8 leafs as opposed to 10-11 used in the really flexy packs. I dont get quite the rear flex but it makes for a much better on-road and off-camber experience. Teflon pads in between just about every layer too.

And honestly, after getting rid of a block and add-a-leaf; anything is going to be a massive improvement! Thats how i felt anyway.

Problem with that is finding Cage stuff nowadays. The 10 or 11 pack springs will be a vast improvement over the stockers. I can imagine how it rides right now. Not fun...

WOW, i had no idea they folded. I am glad i got a set of Jim's long arms and leafs before the issues set in.
